The power delivery outputs on the Sabrent 2-port do NOT provide any usb-c data out – they are power ONLY. I was disappointed to discover that I couldn’t use it to also switch my second display or any other peripherals between my two computers.
I wanted to share a LG display using its USB-C connector with a Mac mini and a PC laptop. So I bought a SABRENT 2-PORT USB SWITCH, based on this declaration on the article: “You can also use one of these USB-C out ports to transfer video instead of the HDMI 2.0.”
I was able to install the switch and make it work without any problem when I use the HDMI port. But impossible to use one of the USB-C out ports for the video. Can you tell me how to do this? I would love a dual (or even triple) monitor KVM that required only one cable to be plugged in, and would gladly ensure that I had appropriate TB3/TB4 out from all my systems to allow it to work in a KVM.
