1. Huanuo HNCM2

When it comes to price to performance ratio, there’s no product out there that can compete with the Huanuo stand.

It’s a pretty decent product that’s not only built to last but also built to ensure that all your precious hardware is safe 24/7.

Monitor Stand

Starting, we have the monitor stand which supports screen from 13 inches to up to 27 inches. The size flexibility ensures that you can hook up any monitor regardless of how new or old it is. The monitor stand is compatible with a VESA mount of size 75 mm x 75 mm and 100 mm x 100 mm.

All tools required to hook up your screen to the mount are available with the monitor stand making sure that you can get your monitor hung up and ready to work ASAP.

Laptop Arm

The laptop arm is compatible with notebooks up to a size of 15.6 inches. The exact size of the steel arm is 15 inches x 10 inches.

It does leave out some of the bigger gaming laptops that are around 17 inches in size, but that’s not too much of a drawback. The arm has a safety hatch at the bottom that keeps your laptop in place. It doesn’t clip onto your notebook like some of the other laptop arms out there.

It may feel like a bad thing, but it’s actually pretty good. Because no clip comes in contact with your laptop, you’re much less likely to scratch your laptop on the steel clips.

Design

Huanuo ensures that you can easily realign, adjust, and rearrange their stand however you want. It’s a great option if you want to go for the convenience factor. This one of the best things about this arm. The monitor arm is capable of full motion and height adjustment. You can make the arms tilt, rotate, swivel; ensuring that you can get the optimal angle you need for your setup. Each arm is connected with a die-cast triple joint which can not only rotate 180 degrees but also extend up to 16 inches in length.

It can scale well against weights up to 22 lbs. which is more than enough even if you have heavy hardware like a 12 lbs. monitor and an 8-10 lbs. gaming laptop.

Mounting Options

You’re getting two different mounting options with your stand. The first is a C-clamp which you can hook up to any table with an edge less than 4.1 inches. If you already have a hole in your table or you’re willing to make one, you could also use the grommet mounting base. The max thickness of the desk allowed with the grommet is 2.95 inches. Both mounting options are pretty durable. It boils down to personal preference.

OUR TAKE
This product from Huanuo is one of the best monitor arms with laptop stands out there. There is a small flaw in the design which makes it slightly harder to move around and set the stands. Apart from that, its an A+ product that takes good care of your comfort and your hardware.
PROS

  • Premium quality steel structure.
  • VESA mounting base.
  • Compatible with a wide array of laptops and monitors.
  • Safe for hardware.
CONS

  • Adjusting the arms is difficult.

2. VIVO Stand-V002C – Our Pick for Clean Setups

Vivo is a brand that specializes in making equipment for your work setup. They have a decent collection of desks, stands, and mounts, and the V002C stand from Vivo isn’t just good, it’s one of the top-rated stands on Amazon.

Monitor Stand

The monitor stand on this mount supports screen from 13 inches all the way to 32 inches. It has 5 extra inches over the Huanuo product above which is definitely appreciated. Installing the monitor on this stand is pretty easy with the detachable VESA plates.

You can install VESA mounts with sizes of 75 mm x 75 mm and 100 mm x 100 mm. VIVO gives you all the screws and stuff necessary to set up your stand, so don’t worry about having to make an extra run to Home Depot with this one.

Laptop Arm

The laptop arm is a huge improvement over the product we mentioned above. It can support laptops up to 17 inches in size.

If you’re a gaming fanatic looking to hook up your gaming laptop to a monitor, the stand will do the job impeccably. Similar to the laptop above, it has a small hinge protecting the laptop from sliding off. Whether you view this as a pro, or a con is up to you. But, it’s a huge plus in our book.

Design

The mount is made of durable steel which won’t give up on you for quite a few years. However, if you think that this won’t be enough to survive your rugged lifestyle, VIVO gives you a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that you get your money’s worth.

This stand is all about a sleek setup. Hence, it gives you the option to do optimal cable management needed to make your setup clean. There are detachable cable clips wires around the arms of the stand to keep your power cables out of sight.

Mounting Options

Just like the Huanuo product above, VIVO also put dual mounting options on their stand. You can either use the C-clamp and just stick it there, or you could make a hole and use a grommet mount to secure it to your desk. The clamps can fit on desks that are 4 inches in thickness.

OUR TAKE
Vivo has definitely checked a lot of the things that the Huanuo stand missed out on. But, unfortunately, it still has one major flaw that held it back. The arms are nowhere near as adjustable as you’d want them to be. If you’re trying to run a spaced-out setup, this stand isn’t the one for you.
PROS

  • Great cable management options.
  • Supports larger laptops and monitors.
  • Backed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Durable build.
CONS

  • Limited arm movement.

3. Viozon Monitor and Laptop Mount

Viozon is a pretty nice vendor of tech stands and is currently doing everything from monitors, laptop to tablets, and smartphones as well. They have an amazing reputation on Amazon for their premium quality mounts; and the one we’re talking about today is just more of the same.

Monitor Stand

You can load a monitor with sizes ranging from 17 inches to 32 inches on this mount. There’s a 19 lbs. weight limit on the monitor stand alone which is decent since most modern-day monitors aren’t a tad above 15 lbs. It’ll support monitors from most major monitor manufacturers like Dell, BenQ, Acer, Asus, etc.

Laptop Arm

The laptop arm is an extra tray on the mount that fits laptops ranging from sizes 12 inches to 17 inches. If you were disappointed with the stands above that they only had one hatch at the bottom to secure your laptop, you’ll love this stand. It has three hatches; one on the bottom and two on either side.

The hatches on the side are extendable, making sure the arm has a tight grip on your laptop. Plus, your laptop won’t just be standing on top of a metal slab, it instead uses rubber pads on the base as well as the hatches to ensure that there’s no possibility of your hardware slipping off.

Design

In terms of aesthetics, this stand definitely takes the cake. It didn’t go with the same dull metallic color. Instead, it opted for a silver finish to the aluminum build that adds a certain bit of flair and makes your setup that much more elegant.

Viozon has also included a fair bit of cable management with its stand. You have the free will to hook up all your cables to the back of the arms.

Mounting Options

Similar to the products above, it uses two mounting options. The first is a C-clamp that needs the thickness of the table to be between 0.6 inches and 2.36 inches. You can also push the stand to a max of 2.36 inches by modifying the hole position of the clip. The second is a standard grommet mount.

OUR TAKE
The Viozon is an amazing product and is a 10/10 in our book for its premium look, but it does pose a certain level of danger for your hardware. If you’re running the stand on its max, i.e. max length and just barely under the weight limit, your hardware could be at risk. The company could have misadvertised its product to hold a few more pounds than it actually can. But, regardless of that, it’s a quality product that’s worth the purchase.
PROS

  • Attractive silver metallic finish.
  • Durable aluminum build.
  • Dual mounting option.
  • Great cable management options.
  • Three hatches for added security for your laptop.
  • Rubber pads on the hatches and on the base to increase friction beneath your laptop.
CONS

  • Adjustments are a pain.
  • Stand tilts forward from time to time.

4. StarTech ARMUNONB

StarTech is another manufacturer that makes pretty good office supplies in terms of setting up a clean setup.

Their ARMUNONB stand is the only laptop plus monitor stand from the company. It does fix some of the errors the product above has made, but it does create a fair bit of its own as well.

Monitor Stand

The monitor stand supports screen from 15 inches up to 27 inches in length. It is a bit limited in terms of length as compared to some of the other products we mentioned above.

But it is what it is. The stand supports weight up to 17.6 lbs. so make sure your monitor is just under that limit. The stand uses VESA mounts that can support sizes of 75 mm x 75 mm and 100 mm x 100 mm. Pretty basic stuff, nothing special in terms of the monitor stand.

Laptop Arm

The laptop arm can support hardware up to 17 inches in length. You could go a bit overboard too. StarTech has made sure that your laptop doesn’t tilt over even if it’s an inch or two above the size limit.

There are two hinges on either side of the stand. A problem would be the fact that there’s no rubber on the hinges (there is rubber right next to the hinges).

So, your laptop is going to come into direct contact with the metal frame of the stand. If you’re not careful, you could very easily scratch the finish of your laptop edge. The weight limit for the laptop is also the same as the monitor. You can run a total weight of 17.6 lbs. on the laptop arm individually.

Design

There are two variants of the StarTech ARMUNONB. Either you can go for the articulating monitor arm or the full motion spring arm that can rotate freely about its axis. Due to this, you can get a free 360° rotation around the monitor arm’s axis with a display tilt of -90° / +85. As far as the laptop tray is concerned, you can have a horizontal to vertical tilt of 90°.

The body of the mount is made of durable aluminum. It has a silver finish on the length of the arm and a black plastic-like finish around the connections. The aluminum is pretty reliable, but StarTech does give you a 5-year warranty just to stay on the safe side.

Mounting Options

There’s only one mounting option with the ARMUNONB. It comes with a C-clamp and that’s all you’re going to get with the stand. Your table needs to be at least 3.5 inches in thickness and you’re golden.

OUR TAKE
StarTech has produced some pretty decent products over the years especially when it comes to mounting hardware. But, the quality of this stand does leave a bit to be desired. Heavier monitors will lean forward because of the stand’s inability to hold it up. This is a huge con that pushed StarTech way down our list.
PROS

  • Easy to Adjust.
  • Durable aluminum material.
  • Two variants; articulating and full motion.
  • VESA mount supports a wide variety of monitors.
CONS

  • Does lean a bit with heavier hardware.
  • Only a single mounting option.

5. Viozon OL-10T-B

Throughout this article, we’ve talked about four other monitor stands with laptop arms. However, all of them had one thing in common, they only supported one laptop and one monitor.

With the Viozon OL-10T-B, we aim to kick things up a notch. With this stand, you’re not just getting a dual-screen between your monitor and your laptop, you’re getting an elegant triple screen setup with the option to mount two monitors.

Monitor Stand

The monitor stands for the 10T-B can support 17-inch to 27-inch monitors. Each of your monitor arms can support 19.8 lbs. with a VESA mount. You get the average 75 mm x 75 mm and 100 mm x 100 mm sizes on your VEGA mount.

Laptop Arm

The laptop arm is made for laptops ranging from sizes of 12 inches to 17 inches. The laptop stand has three hinges; one on the bottom and two on either side. The hinges are 0.7 inches and 0.8 inches in length for added safety.

Just like the other Viozon product we talked about above, the OL-10T-B also has rubber pads on the hinges and the base to create more friction which is more protection for your laptop. The hinges are also extendable, so if you have a bigger laptop that utilizes them, the hinges will grip onto your laptop, making it that much safer.

An apparent issue with having this 2-1 setup with the monitor and the laptop is pretty much obvious. With the mounts before this one, you had the option to place the laptop right next to the monitor horizontally which lets you easily drag your mouse across the laptop and the monitor.

But, with this one, the alignment is a bit different as you have the two screens side by side and the laptop on the bottom of the two.

This does raise a question about how much productivity this mount adds and how much it takes away. If there was an option to put all three screens side by side, this product would definitely have been somewhere near the top.

Design

So, as we said earlier, there are two monitor mounts with a laptop arm. The mount is made of premium grade aluminum which adds a decent bit of durability to it. The screen can easily swivel 360°. The arm can also tilt 145° and extend up to a maximum length of 20.5 inches. The laptop arm can tilt 45° and extend up to 21.8 inches.

All of the arms have the option to do some neat cable management behind them. So, if you’re the type of person that really obsesses over their cable management, the OL-10T-B will keep you happy.

Mounting Options

You have two different mounting options with the OL-10T-B. You can either use a traditional C-clamp mount. Your desk needs to be at least 0.6 inches thick and max 2.36 inches thick. You could also go for the hole-type mount that requires the hole diameter to be greater than 2.76 inches and the thickness of the desk to be the same as the C-clamp mount.

OUR TAKE
This stand from Viozon is just more of the same quality product that we talked about a little earlier. It adds another monitor stand to the mount letting you add that extra hardware to your office setup.
PROS

  • Dual mounting options.
  • Triple hinges and rubber pads to keep your laptop safely in place.
  • Premium grade aluminum build quality.
  • Cable management options.
  • Works with a lot of different monitor sizes.
CONS

  • The productivity from the laptop screen is arguable.

Conclusion

So, as we discussed earlier, none of the manufacturers above are the tech giants you’re used to seeing every day. You may not have even heard of some of these companies.

But, regardless of that, the stands that we mentioned above are one of the best in the market. If you’re looking for a durable monitor arm with a laptop stand, just pick one of these products and we’re sure you won’t regret it.
