AMD’s Head for Technical Marketing, Robert Hallock, confirmed through a blog post that X570 motherboards would require a BIOS update to support the latest-gen processors.

AMD unveiled its next-generation Ryzen 5000 processors on October 8 via live event. The new processors will be available globally on November 5. Zen 3 brings the best single-threaded and gaming performance boost with its early CPU lineup, which includes the “best gaming processor.”

AMD claims simply upgrading to a Zen 3 processor results in a 26 percent performance boost, delivering even better gaming performance on your X570 motherboard.
